I got my first ink job in an dingy less-than-sanitary ink shop, on Shanghai St. near the Blue Dolphin Bar in Hong Kong, China. I was a very inebriated 19 year old young sailor in the navy. That was my first big mistake.
Later, for my second big mistake, I got another ink job in Kowloon, a ferry ride across the bay from Hong Kong. My life-long regret is I was too quick in choosing designs, and tattoo locations, I'd be happy with.
If I had to do it over again, I would be much more careful in choosing the right design. Also, I would think long and hard about where (on my body) I wanted the tattoos.
